Research: Contents Page Analysis 3

This issue of Country Weekly has a contents page that has expanded that of one side page as you can see by the orange "Features" only featured articles and content is on this page, this again shows how much of the magazine space ahs been dedicated to the main central image as he is on the front page of this issue too. This is something to consider when making my country magazine with its main central image.
(He is even on the front cover also showing how seriously the country demographic take their Country stars and artists which is something I need to take into consideration as it is what the demographic wants as this is a successful country magazine.)

Yet again like in many other magazines exchange has been utilised so the reader can stay connected and interacted when on the move and not reading a physical copy of Country Weekly, the also helps the target market expand as it reaches out and appeals to the younger generation also whom are digitally native, this carried out by the Country Weekly website link on the page.

Contents page has a page number which I have spotted yet again extremely close to the website link in order to make ignoring the website link increasingly hard, I will definitely utilise this as this technique is so prominent in country magazine I must try to replicate it, however it is a useful placement of text and content which can be used outside of the genre as it promotes the websites of the magazines further.

The enlarged font of the "30","Tim McGraw", "Cover Story" makes it clear and signifies to the reader that this is an exclusive and is the "main attraction" or focus of the magazine with the main central image enlarged also to show this taking up majority of the page. Also in order to even further highlight the fact that Tim McGraw is the cover story for this magazine issue it has been highlighted in blue and white, all of this results in the cover story standing out from other articles with their orange and black fonts.

Note that the orange line makes its clear where the cover story ends and the standard or regular articles commence, the colour of font and text is utilised also to signify the difference between articles.

Note that this picture of Tim McGraw was taken specifically due to his Christian symbol tattooed on his arm, as shown in other country music magazines and issues of country weekly along with my fan base research its evident that the fan base is religious. Something again to consider when using my main central image. This shows that Tim McGraw is an inspirational figure for all country listeners as the Christian symbol is located on  him supporting the fact he is religious and successful which many other country stars are like also, and because he is religious along with the demographic this applies to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs as it gives the demographic a sense of belonging and love and makes them feel like a community.
